Ronaldinho!
Ronaldo de Assis Moreira (born March
21, 1980 in Porto Alegre), commonly known as
Ronaldinho or Ronaldinho Gaścho, is a Brazilian
footballer who plays for Serie A side AC Milan
and the Brazil national team.
Ronaldinho, meaning "little Ronaldo," is better
known in Brazil by the nickname Ronaldinho
Gaścho, in order to distinguish him from Ronaldo,
who was already called "Ronaldinho" in Brazil.
Ronaldo simply went by his first name upon his
move to Europe, thereby allowing Ronaldinho to
drop the "Gaścho" and remain simply as
Ronaldinho.
Among his many achievements and accolades,
Ronaldinho is a two-time winner of the FIFA
World Player of the Year, European Footballer of
the Year and FIFPro World Player of the Year
awards. He became a Spanish citizen in January
2007. |

CNN International - Nov 23, 2008
(CNN)

half, Milan quickly hit back with goals from

that lasted until late in the second half.
Roberto Stellone had given Torino the lead in
the 25th minute, but Milan's Brazilian attackers
responded immediately with Pato scoring in the
29th and Ronaldinho making it two just six
minutes later with a free kick from just outside
the penalty area.
But Torino
midfielder Alessandro Rossi equalized from the

Uefa Cup
Group E Round-Up
SkySports - Nov 6, 2008
(AC
Milan maintained their 100 per cent record in
Group C, but they left it late to beat Braga 1-0
at the San Siro.
Ronaldinho's last-gasp goal gave the Italian
giants a hard-fought win to move them to the top
of the group. The result was harsh on Braga who
created the better chances in the game.
Wason Renteria wasted two good openings in the
first-half and Cesar Peixoto was denied by Dida.
Braga had strong claims for a penalty waved away
on the hour mark when Emerson appeared to trip
Paulo Cesar in the box.
Soon after Ronaldinho came off the bench and the
move paid off as the Brazilian grabbed the
winner with virtually the last kick of the game.
Three minutes into injury-time Ronaldinho broke
Braga's hearts when he found the net from 20
yards out.
